I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you. We often hear of the negative things we do and never receive a "Good Job" or "Thank you" from anyone.

As you know, it had been many years since I'd had a horse. Growing up with older brothers who always took care of them, I didn't realize just how much I took for granted the proper care and maintenance of my horse's feet.

When I began my search for a farrier, I had no idea what I would be in for. The first few I tried were a nightmare for me, but especially for my horse! I was hearing comments of how terrible my horse was, that she was dangerous! I thought I had to hold her head or feed her just to get her feet trimed.

I remember the first time you came. You immediately began by earning my horse's trust and then mine. As you did her feet you started talking and teaching me about them. How the foot is designed and explaining why things happened and what to do about them. All while you gently worked on her. I was amazed at how calm she was.

That was the first time her back feet had been trimed in the few months I'd owned her. Now, several more horses and months later, I arrive to meet you as usual and find my horses just standing in the middle of their pasture calmly, while you and your apprentice trim their feet... wow!!! I don't think I've ever seen you get frustrated or upset with one.

The thing that I have noticed most is that you love what you're doing and you enjoy teaching those who want to learn proper hoof care. I also believe that with you, the HORSE is the most important client, not the person... I've seen you take the time it takes to do a horse right and not rush through it so you can earn a huge paycheck.

My horse's feet are healthy and look great and their preformance has improved tremendously since they have been in your care!
